How to Use the Price and Margin Calculator

1. Select Products & Quantity

Type a product name or part number in ITEMS NAME. Matching products appear in the search panel on the left. Select a product to fill its latest purchase cost automatically, then enter the quantity in QTY. Use up to 10 rows.

2. Set Your Markup

Enter your markup percentage in MARGIN for each product. For a 20% addition to cost, enter 20. Each row can have its own quantity and percentage.

3. View Results

Results update automatically:

  • PRICE — cost × quantity × (1 + markup / 100), excluding VAT.
  • Total — sum of all row prices before VAT.
  • Total Margin % — total markup amount divided by total cost, expressed as a percentage.
  • VAT — the configured VAT rate applied to Total.
  • Total With VAT — Total plus VAT.

4. Save & Load Presets

Use Save Preset to name and save your products, quantities and percentages to the database. Use Load Preset to restore a saved configuration. Presets are shared across devices; product costs use the current catalog when loaded.

Example

A product with a cost of SAR 100.00, quantity 2 and markup 20% gives a row price of SAR 240.00 before VAT. At 15% VAT, tax is SAR 36.00 and the total with VAT is SAR 276.00.

Costs come from the latest purchase records. Administrators can update the catalog through Excel import. Leave unused rows empty.
